Gifts for Girls

A friend of mine had a baby girl, and I finally completed her gift:

I used this pattern, but I made a few changes. I didn't like the knitted ties, so I cut them off and sewed on ribbon. Also, I must have made a mistake, but there was no eyelet on the inside to hook on the button (to help keep it closed), so I crocheted one on. I think it turned out pretty cute!

It is one of our little friend's 2nd birthday party this weekend, so after shopping around a bit, I decided to make the fairy costume I've been wanting to make for so long.

I also made some modifications to this pattern. I decided to use Velcro on the sides instead of tying big bows. That way, she can get into it without help from an adult. I also hemmed the sides of the skirt, so it would be a little more finished looking.

I also hand sewed the wings on, and used the matching ribbon to gather the wing fabric in the centre. I think it turned out really cute - here's hoping little S likes it as much as me!

Very cute. I'm sure little S will love the fairy costume! I know I would if I were two.

Those both turned very cute. I bet you will have people dying to get on your gift list, so they can have a cool "Jamie Gift".
