Baby Shower

My friend Amanda and I hosted a baby shower for a friend from church. We had a lot of fun planning, shopping and preparing. We thought our creations were oh-so-cute. I thought I would share!
The juice is homemade lemonade with strawberries in it - so yummy!!! We wanted to get some Crave cupcakes, but since they cost an arm and a leg, we decided to try and recreate them! Amanda made the cupcakes from scratch and my mom and I made some delicious icing with real strawberries in it. The cool icing job - all my mom.

We made these cute favors and filled them with pink Hershey's kisses - lucky it's close to Valentine's day!
We used the extra flowers for confetti on the table - you can't really see them, but here's picture anyway!

We wanted to have some sort of decorations, so, inspired by some pictures of other baby showers on Flickr, we bought matching baby clothes for our gift and displayed them like this:

It was a lot of fun - even though Amanda had her baby the day of and couldn't enjoy the fruits of her labor! (Ha ha - pun NOT intended. She did enjoy the fruits of her real labor - a new baby girl named Brynn Kirsten!) Thanks to my mom for letting us use her house and for all her help!

Very cute. You two are so smart. And mom is so talented. I wish I could have one of those cupcakes for breakfast. (They have fruit in them right?)

Great job Jamie! You pulled it together without me, you didn't need me! The cupcakes looked amazing... I'm sure they tasted great too!
