A Baby & A Birthday

A good friend had a baby girl in January, so I made her this blanket. (Scalloped blanket from Bend the Rules Sewing.) I bought the fabric months ago in the States and I have been so excited to make the blanket ever since! I don't get to make things for girls very often, so when I do, I get a little overwhelmed by all the cuteness! :)
My cute little nephew turned 1 this week, so I made him a couple of fun gifts! This hooded towel (tutorial here) was quick and fun to make. I found these cute towels at Walmart - aren't they fun?
The other gift I made was an idea I saw on someone's blog - these are board books you can make yourself. The company sends you blank board books, the pages to print and templates so you can create your own books for your kids. The possibilities are endless! I made two for Charlie - here is a little sample:

NOTE: I've had a few questions about the board books. The reason I didn't post the link when I first shared the idea is because the website was down - the company needed to renew their domain name or something. But it's working now! The company is Blank Slate Board Books and their site is here - it explains everything, so check it out! FYI, it cost $10 to ship to Canada.

Beautiful blanket! I love making stuff for girls too. The towels are really great too, so what is the company with the board books? can you post/send a link?
