Dusting Off the Old Sewing Machine

I finally unpacked my sewing machine and sewing gear. And then I let it sit around for awhile and finally turned it on! Here's what I made:
These cute hooded towels for my cousins...
A close up because the ribbon is so cute!
Tutorial here. (So easy!)

I also made this heat resistant 'cozy' for my flat iron. (Tutorial here!)

Great ideas, I think we could use some hooded beach towels this summer, I like the ribbon touch. Thanks for linking the tutorials, maybe I'll have to dust off my machine.

I've also seen the towels in real life and I'm jealous that I don't have one! I also could use a cozy for my flat iron but I need a new flat iron first - mine's dying a slow painful death!
