A Little Addicted to My Sewing Machine...

Since we have to have two of everything around here (and sometimes 4) I made this cape for Isaiah. It's lots better than Nate's in some ways, just because I learned some things sewing Nate's. It turned out pretty well and Isaiah seems to like being Super Isaiah!

So I have this pattern for a no-cash wallet (from Bend the Rules Sewing) and I've been dying to try it with some scrap fabric. I think it would be perfect for putting passes and a little bit of cash in to take somewhere when you don't want your whole big wallet. I think the green is too much - you are actually supposed to line it with contrasting fabric, but I figured that out AFTER I cut it out. So I sewed it anyway for practice. Now when I make my real one, I'll know what not to do. You are also supposed to add a decorative button to the outside, but I didn't want to go to all the trouble if I wasn't even going to use it. Anyone want it? It was super fun and easy to make. I might try a real one tonight if I can figure out what fabric to use - I lost the stuff I really wanted to use!!!

Okay, that picture of Isaiah and Nathan is so cute! Nice job on the cape. The wallet is cute too, I should make one for Josee. She loves to pretend shop!

Does she want a green one with blue pockets? :)

Oooooo....you can send it my way if you really aren't going to use it. I will!

The capes look amazing. Those little boys should feel very lucky.
